The Ducati Hyperstrada is the newly improved touring version of 2013 model Hypermotard. This bike from Ducati family opens up to a new segment that very few bike brands have to offer. This razor sharp- body design Hyperstrada is considered a cross-over of both motard and touring models.
The Ducati Hyperstrada is powered with a 821cc Testastretta 11 degree L- Twin engine. Further specs and key features include a 4 Desmodromically actuated valves per cylinder , liquid-cooled engine, (a ‘stroked’ 796 unit) similar to the 2013 Hypermotard which develops 110bhp at 9,250 rpm and a maximum of 89 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm.
The 821 Hyperstrada comes equipped with a 6-speed transmission and is energized with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) as well, required for that high performing riding experience. The 2-1 exhaust system runs through 50mm headers and valves and flowing out of the new single cylinder.
Ducati also offers its Hyperstrada model with a series of touring features/accessories like ABS, DTC, Windshield, side bags and an overall ergonomic design which is not visible in its earlier version.
This all-terrain bike is available in three riding modes: Urban, Touring and Sport. The power levels, throttle response, traction control and ABS differ with every model. Throttle response is flawless in the Urban and Touring modes, but is very powerful when switched into the Sport mode. The Ducati Hyperstrada has recorded top speed of 130 mph at an average fuel consumption of 48 mpg and is available at a price of $13,495.
